FAQs

What is Review Predictor™?

Review Predictor™ alerts administrators whether a specified review deadline will be met and calculates how many reviewers are needed to meet the goal based on review rates. To further aid review progress, Review Predictor™ simultaneously creates reports displaying documents reviewed per day, per reviewer, and per hour.

What is BinderBuilder™?

BinderBuilder™ allows users to compile documents instantly into a single PDF that can be filed electronically with the court, shared among users to prepare for a deposition or trial, or printed for attorney review. Users can choose from several customization options including slip-sheet pages that can contain various metadata fields, annotations and Quick-Notes. Volumes can be split by file size or page number to conform to Court filing requirements, or match a physical binder size. BinderBuilder also has a “green” printing option, which allows LitBinders™ to be printed double-sided, reducing paper waste.

Where is your corporate office and what areas do you serve?

Our corporate office is in Austin, Texas. We service firms coast to coast and have worked internationally.

Do you only provide hosting or can I buy the software for multi-case use?

Liquid Lit Manager™ is a web-based application so it cannot be hosted in-house. We offer a case-by-case license or an unlimited case option for a monthly fee.

What types of training or onsite assistance do you provide?

We offer free training via the web at the beginning of a project or on an as-needed basis. If requested, we offer onsite initial training.

What's the advantage of an al-in-one system - what if I don't need it all?

The advantage of an all-in-one system is that it saves you time and money without having to switch platforms. You have the huge advantage of being able to trace a document all the way back to its originating point. We recommend using the full solution; however, it is possible to use Liquid Lit Manager™ for discovery/review purposes or just for case management.

What size cases can you handle?

We’ve handled cases in excess of 4 terabytes.

Do you offer 24-hr support?

Each case has a personal project manager that you will have direct access to. We have a close-knit team of project managers and are reachable 24 hours a day. We always have someone on call after hours and on weekends.

What happens when your server goes down?

Over the course of 10 years we have only had 30 cumulative minutes of down time.

In the unlikely case of interruption, the data center’s power systems are designed to run even in the event of a complete power outage. All servers are powered by conditioned power through N+1 redundant uninterruptible power supplies. Diesel power generation provides power in the event of an extended outage. All heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems are N+1 redundant. Cables are dual-routed for redundancy. Our internet backbone is provided by nine major providers to ensure optimal performance and 100% uptime. This, in conjunction with our server and data redundancy, allows us to offer a 99.99% service availability guarantee. We have servers located in Reston, Virginia and Austin, Texas.

How does your pricing work?

We have tiered pricing in order to offer you prices that reflect your needs and your case size. We offer a case-by-case license or an unlimited case option for a monthly fee. There is a monthly GB hosting fee in addition to costs associated with processing the data.

Can my clients have access to the system?

Yes, we can provide access to your clients. We can control user permissions down to the document level so that your client has access, but not to sensitive information.

Can you guarantee the security of my information?

Our servers are housed in a data center that is isolated from everyone but level-three technicians, where military-grade passcards and biometric scanners are used to restrict access to the data center. Liquid Lit Manager™ is accessed via a secure connection, using the strongest commercially-available encryption to ensure your data’s safety. In addition to these measures, we use industry-leading assessment software to regularly verify that our systems are safe from vulnerabilities

User authentication is by login and password. All access to the system is via 128-bit SSL. Inputs are cleansed of special characters to prevent SQL injection. The system can also be configured to allow login from only a specific IP address pattern.

All data transfers are protected by encryption. Access to the web application is also required to be via encryption. Only the highest levels of technicians have even electronic access to the data servers, and that access is only allowed via encrypted, password protected command line.

Can you provide a reference for my type of case situation or industry?

Yes. We have extensive experience with Arbitrations, Bankruptcy, Class-Action, Construction, Intellectual Property, ITC, RICO and Securities cases involving Fortune 500 companies.
